ABOUT 
The Happiness Workout

The Happiness Workout is very practical and designed to be highly accessible. It combines deep laughter and breathing exercises with simple "positivity techniques" grounded in the science of happiness.

WHAT TO EXPECT 
You’ll learn how to laugh on demand, without the need for jokes. You'll learn how to breathe deeply, again. You'll alternate between feeling silly and gaining perspective, in short bursts. You'll feel stress-relief immediately. You'll feel a sense of joy and release. You'll have fun!


PHYSICAL BENEFITS
The laughter exercises provide a vigorous lung workout. Some doctors say that 15 min. of deep laughter is the aerobic equivalent of 45 minutes on a treadmill. You will exercise your diaphragm and intercostal muscles. If the exercises are practiced regularly, deep laughter can positively affect your lung capacity and velocity (the two factors considered when looking at “lung age”). Increased blood and oxygen flow to the brain and body have significant physical impact on your wellbeing, and a host of health benefits.

PSYCHOLOGICAL BENEFITS
You'll learn how to turn your attention to matters that exist on the positive side of neutral, in the realm of what is best about life. This means focusing on positive elements of life such as character strengths, positive emotion, resilience, purpose, positive relationships, and creative achievement--the optimization of the human experience. this does not deny the existence of the negative parts of life, but argues for a deep exploration of the upper reaches of human experience.

DO'S & DON'TS
  • No need to bring anything with you: anything you need will be provided
  • Wear comfortable clothes
  • Try not to eat a large meal beforehand
  • Please do not wear heavy perfume or cologne!

 Happiness is a muscle. I show you how to work it, and then you take it from there. It'll change the way you react to stressful situations and difficult people. And with that empowerment comes a new freedom to re-connect with the world around you in a way that makes everything so much easier, and so much more satisfying. You deserve it!
